How To Make A Succulent Wreath

Hi friends! Spring has sprung here in Cali and I don’t know about you but I need to refresh my outdoor space and I think first impressions are important so I thought I’d start with making a super fun succulent wreath for my front door.  Now I’m sure you all have a magic a green thumb that can keep all the plants alive, but that unfortunately just isn’t me! So because I’m not some super cool plant lady I am going to show you step by step how to easily make a beautiful wreath that is great for anytime of the year using faux succulents.

Materials:

Grapevine Wreath (You can use any size. I used a large 28 inch one but you really could use any size.)

Faux Succulents (Splurge a bit on these! Get some good quality faux succulents that way your wreath looks great and lasts a long time. Try getting all different kinds and colors.  I even added some air plants for fun.)

I found most of my faux succulents at Hobby Lobby and I also bought my grapevine wreath there as well.  I found the larger succulents at World Market.

Step 1:

Lay all of your materials out on a large flat surface.  I used my outdoor dining table because the grapevine wreath can get a little messy.  Arrange all the succulents so that you can see them well.

Step 2:

Start with the Large Succulents first and really bend that wire and just shove the end into the wreath. Don’t be afraid to really work it into the wreath so that it stays nice and secure.  I like to place mine in somewhat of a pattern or in groups if you will, and I like to add them into the wreath largest to smallest, that way you can use the smaller succulents at the end for fillers.

Step 3:

Hang your wreath up so you can really see it and check it out. Look for any bare spots and fill them in with extra succulents. Find the spot you want to hang it and enjoy!

Let me know what you guys think! Also If you decide to make your own please send me pics I want to see your gorgeous work!
